S7 has various products that help you analyze your source code and help you estimate the effort in porting your application using S7’s in-house developed “Migration Point Analysis”.

Considering, at times when the source code cannot be shared with a third party service provider, Binary Analyzer aids the estimation process.

S7 Binary Analyzer analyzes the binaries or executables of the application. It generates information on dependencies of the product on third party libraries, APIs and symbols. And in conjunction with the S7 Software’s proprietary "Binary Migration Database", which is populated with variables from many migration projects helps in arriving at a fairly accurate estimation. S7 Software’s "Binary Migration Database”  not only contains most frequently used third party libraries, APIs etc… but also contains an estimation of effort required to port them from a given combination of a source platform to a given destination platform

» Security – avoids sharing source code at estimation stage. Can now be shared at the implementation stage.

» Detailed information about library dependency of application.

» Generates a Binary Dependency Graph that can be viewed using any of the browsers.

» Generates detail information about the 'dependent symbols' from the third party libraries.

» Capable of detecting indirect binary dependencies too. E.g. app.out -> libfoo.so -> libc.so.1 etc.

» Inbuilt report generation engine, to customize the porting and migration reports.
