Manjunath M Gowda ChandraShekar M Pankaj Kulkarni
CEO Founder and CTO VP (R&D)

Manju co-founded the company in December 2003 along with six other industry professionals. Prior to co-founding S7, Manju served as the Managing Director of Bristol Technology, India operations from 1998 to 2003 which provided professional migration services for many Fortune 100 & 1000 companies including Lucent, Sun, HP, Solomon Brothers, Seagate Software, AT&T, Marconi, etc. Earlier to this Manju had a brief stint at Wipro and was involved in a Migration project for Seagate Software. He worked for Bristol Technologies, Danbury Connecticut and held different roles including Software Engineer, Pre-Sales Technical Support Manager and Product Lead overlooking pre-sales, product releases and major feature enhancements. Manju holds a BE degree in Computers from Bangalore University India and Master’s in Computer Science from Oregon State University, Corvallis, US. Manju is an active member of TIE, Bangalore Bootstrap and NASSCOM and in his spare time likes to read books and blogs on varied interest.

Chandra has been working in the area of cross-platform migration since 1995. His contributions include getting the Microsoft Win32 APIs to IBM OS/390 (now known as z/OS). Prior to co-founding S7 Software, Chandra worked as Director of Bristol Technology Inc’s Indian ODC from 1998 to 2003. He was instrumental in ensuring Bristol’s multi-location development efforts were smooth. He oversaw product releases, maintenance, customer support and management of the ODCs engineering group. He was architect of a C++-based cross-platform event logging mechanism which was used in one of Bristol’s business administration software – Transaction Vision. Chandra also worked with AIG (on contract from Syntel Inc.) in web-fronting their Mainframe applications and reports. He started his career as Senior Systems Architect at Wipro Systems, Bangalore where he has worked on UNIX and Mainframe based applications. He has been an active member of Bangalore’s Linux User Group (BLUG).

Pankaj brings 11+ years of Software Engineering experience and is responsible for Technology directions at S7 Software Solutions. Prior to joining S7 Software, Pankaj was a Development Manager at IBM Rational and led a team responsible for Purify Plus suite of products. During his tenure with Rational, he was involved in the porting initiative of Purify, Quantify and Purecov to AIX and was part of IBM’s Leakbot global team. Earlier to this he worked with Aztec Software as Architect and Technical Lead and led J2CS, a Java to C# cross-compiler team. He started his carrier with Bristol Technologies (Connecticut and Bangalore) and held different roles spanning the entire development lifecycle of their Cross-platform products particularly Wind/U and JPrinter and ensured their latest release supported different flavors of UNIX/ Linux. Pankaj holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from IIT Madras, India, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, New York. In his spare time he likes to read, write on evolutionary psychology and blog on software migrations.

Kumar Rangarajan Anal Jain Dr. Shyam Johari
Director Engineering Advisor Executive Director

Kumar has been with the industry for over 11 years now. He joined S7 Software early 2007, prior to which, he was an Engineering manager for the Purify Plus product line in IBM's Rational Software division. 7 years earlier to which he was part of the HPUX Compiler/Linker team, where his passion for the bits and bytes world of Systems Programming started. He started his career at Wipro GE Medical Systems with a Bachelors Degree (in Engineering) from Madras University. A techie at heart, Kumar is interested in Program Analysis (esp. the Runtime kind and has a joint patent in this area), having spent a significant amount of his career in the Purify Plus product line. A Unix/C guy all thro his career, he is amazed at the level of abstraction the IT world has reached. He now features as a speaker and writes about the wonderful and complex world of migration and re-engineering and helps move customers to the platform of their choice, while helping the developers @ S7 Software practice and keep perfecting the art of Software Engineering.

Mr. Anal Jain has over 25 years experience in top management positions in major international and Indian IT firms. Among his key accomplishments are - leading Wipro Infotech's marketing to IT Industry's leading status, building and leading IBM's business in India after their re-entry into the country, and starting and leading Sun Microsystems business in India. Starting his career in early 1970s with IBM India, Anal has been a part of the India IT story, steering companies through unchartered waters and with fabulous success. Anal was Vice President - Marketing with ORG Systems, Vice President - Sales & Marketing with Wipro InfoTech, Head - Domestic Businesses of IBM India, President - South Asia of Sun Microsystems India, Chairman & CEO of Linc Software Systems, CEO of Birlasoft Ltd, Managing Director - South Asia of Network Appliance India.

His passion for promoting entrepreneurship in Indian business has seen him as a Managing Director of MicroVentures (a Microfinance organization), Mentor at NASSCOM, Charter Member of TiE, and Board Member of Entrepreneurship Development Foundation promoted by Sasha in Kolkata. A topper through out, Anal has a B. Tech (Electrical Engg) from IIT Kharaghpur and holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Brooklyn Poly, New York, USA. A well known face in Indian IT circles, he is married and has two sons. Music, Indian arts and crafts, reading, travel, and golf are his special interests.

Dr. Johari joins S7 Software after a stint as management consultant, the capacity in which he advised IT companies on business strategy development, process improvements, and improvements in product quality and performance. Dr Shyam Johari worked as a Vice President for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) - America from June 2000 to August 2006. At TCS, Dr. Johari was responsible for business operations of Hi-Tech vertical, South Central Region and Western Region at various times. Dr. Johari also led the TCS-America eSecurity offering from 2000 to 2005. Prior to this, Dr Johari worked with Compaq (Tandem) from 1987 to 2000 as Director of Product Performance, System Integration, and India Software Development for NonStop Division. From 1975 to 1987, Dr. Johari was with Burroughs (Unisys) in various management roles. Dr. Johari holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from University of Illinois at Chicago.

Rao Remala Aki Fujimura Murali Venkatrao
Director Director Director

Prior to S7 Software, Remala worked as Director, Microsoft Corporation, U.S.A and was the 29th employee and the first Indian to write code and give shape to the ubiquitous Microsoft Windows program. In a 21-year period with this Microsoft, he directly reported to Bill Gates and worked on a slew of the company's best known products - Basic, Cobol Compiler, Windows 1.0, Windows 2.0, OLE 1.0, OLE 2.0, Office 95, Office 97. He held a range of positions from individual contributor, to Group Manager, to Product Unit Manager and finally Director and was an integral part of the team that virtually defined the personal computing industry. Before Microsoft, Remala worked at DCM, Computer R&D center and then at Hindustan Computers Limited (HCL). Remala is currently an angel investor and philanthropist. Remala has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur India and a Bachelor's degree from REC Warangal College with highest honors in the engineering program.

He currently is also the senior vice president and CTO, Technology Incubation, for Cadence Design Systems. He got to Cadence for the second time in 2002 with the acquisition of Simplex Solutions where he was the president, chief operating officer and a director of the board. Prior to Simplex, he was VP and director of Pure Software, an automated software quality solutions provider. Both Pure and Simplex grew from a venture-backed startup to an IPO during his tenure. His start-up experience began in 1984 as a co-founder of Tangent systems which was acquired by Cadence in 1989. Fujimura holds a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering and computer science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has served on the boards of Bristol Technologies, HDL Systems, RTime Systems in addition to Pure and Simplex.

He initially joined Microsoft Inc. as software engineer after graduation from KSU and left the company as a senior project manager before starting his own venture called Data spider. Murali holds a B.E. degree in Computer Science from UVCE, Bangalore (India) and an MS degree in Computer science from Kansas State University, USA. Murali is an ardent practitioner of Yoga, practices and teaches the same in his free time.

Haresh Ved
VP(Sales-MS Tech)

Haresh Ved is the Founder and Managing General Partner of Cronus Ventures, LLC, an early stage venture capital firm. Prior to that, Haresh spent more than a decade at Microsoft, where he designed, developed, and managed several technologies for pen-centric computing and mobility products like Windows for Pen Computing, Windows CE, and Pocket PC. He also played a key role early on in developing and implementing tools, technologies, and strategies to take Microsoft products to international markets. Prior to joining Microsoft, Haresh worked as a Research Scientist at SUNY at Stony Brook, NY. Haresh holds a bachelor’s degree in EE from Bombay University and a master’s degree in computer engineering from SUNY at Stony Brook, NY.
