S7 Software uses three in-house designed and developed methodologies to estimate migration projects:

Migration Point Analysis & Estimation (MPA) – requires complete source code, working binary and configuration, language, database etc for both source and destination platforms.

Migration Use Case Analysis & Estimation (MUC) - requires a working binary and configuration, language, database etc for both source and destination platforms.

Migration Data Point Analysis & Estimation (MDP) - requires just the configuration, language, database etc for both source and destination platforms.

The estimation technique given below is more aligned towards the “Migration Data Point Analysis and Estimation”. This helps to get a ball park figure for the migration job. This data is used against other data populated in our database from many such migration projects and in-built scripts run through these data sets and come up with a estimate.

Please note the estimate given through this process is more of a statistical way than a scientific one. For a more detailed approach, we suggest usage of MUC or MPA.
